Deb Cohen has a Bachelors degree in Nursing and has been a registered nurse for 19 years. Deb started her medical career in the United States Naval Reserve as a hospital corpsman at the reserve center in West Palm Beach, Florida. She obtained her ADN from Broward Community College in 1990 and worked at a trauma hospital in South Florida for 8 years. After moving to Tennessee she continued her experience in critical care and the emergency room.
Her recent role as a Medicare care manager in Nashville has strengthened and bridged the gap between Deb's clinical background and the Managed Care Industry. As a case manager she has opened new markets for similar disease management programs in Houston, Boston, and New York.
Deb holds a Masters of Arts in Professional Counseling from Argosy University Nashville, Tennessee. She is currently attending the University of South Alabama, pursuing a Masters degree in Nursing as a Family Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. She is a charter member of the American Counseling Association (ACA) and the Tennessee Association of Licensed Professional Counselors (TLPCA). She has a part-time counseling practice in Brentwood, Tennessee.
Deb currently resides in Nashville, Tennessee where she has lived the last 11 years. She is a loyal member to The Gathering in Franklin, where she takes on many duties and has a small music ministry to local assisted living and nursing homes.
