IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT
It is important for you to realize that many companies are motivated to
spend their hiring budgets before year end. At the beginning of the year,
companies set a budget for hiring and many companies have not spent their
budgeted amount. If they don't spend their hiring budgets in 2011, their
hiring budget for 2012 may be reduced, which of course is not in their best
interest. This is why you will see many companies motivated to hire!
This is the perfect time for you to put momentum behind your search! Re-contact
everyone in your network, re-contact every company where you have interviewed
on your own and not through a recruiter, and double your direct marketing
efforts. This will put new life into your job search. Timing is so
important in a job search and the time to succeed is NOW!

TIP FOR THE WEEK
If gatekeepers are preventing you from speaking to hiring authorities,
ask for Accounts Payable. Most likely, your call will get transferred
with no questions asked because the gatekeeper will assume they owe you
money. Typically, people in the Accounts Payable Department are very customer
service oriented and will not only forward your call they will often give you
the direct line, names and titles that you are seeking. They tend to be
very detail oriented, which works in your favor!
