Jack Kern has enjoyed 32 years in a variety of technical positions since graduating with his BS in Electrical Engineering from Rutgers University in 1976. Jack brings a wealth of technology and business experience as well as a genuine enthusiasm for assisting both Candidates and Employers to find a mutually beneficial match.
Jack devoted 18 years working as a Field Engineer for a Defense Contractor. During that time Jack worked on Submarines, Frigates, and Radar Facilities along the Alaskan coastline and a year and a half supporting Her Majesties Royal Australian Navy in Melbourne, Australia. Then Jack worked for several years as a Senior Project Manager overseeing Hardware projects, including servers and network infrastructure and Software projects including browser-based applications and oracle data warehouses.
During the last 13 years, Jack has received a number of IT industry certifications including Certified Network Engineer and System Administrator for both Novell and Sun Microsystems Operating Systems. In addition he has been certified by both organizations and has worked for 8 years as a Technical Instructor.
He most recently worked as the Manager of IT for a medium-sized company in the middle Tennessee Home Building industry. He performed Project Management and hands-on administrative tasks supporting 80 users and three store locations.
Jack and his wife Pam, a Registered Nurse, live just south of Nashville in Thompson’s Station. With all of their kids grown and out of the house they enjoy spending time visiting with their children and grandchildren. Visiting family takes Jack from TN, to Mississippi all the way to Seattle, Washington. He is blessed with a loving family and enjoys supporting them.
